D3 e-mail encryption
Deltagon D3 is easy to use and scalable solution for confidential e-mailing. System works without installations on sender or receiver workstations. Solution utilises the e-mail system in use and is also suitable for adhoc messaging. D3 solution enables protected two-way e-mail traffic.

With D3 solution content of message and attachments stay confidential. Usage has proven that the system is so simple for users that no special training is needed.
D3 enables confidential messaging in different protection levels that can be compared to traditional post methods. Protection level "letter" can be compared to sending a traditional letter, where mail traffic is protected. Message cannot be read or copied unnoticed. Higher protection level "registered letter" (SMS authentication) can be compared to sending a registered letter, where mail traffic is protected and the receiver can be authenticated.
D3-web-compose enables web-based sending form. This is needed for a third party to initiate secure messaging. The message arrives in conventional e-mail inbox.
Receiver reads the message from browser with SSL encrypted connection. Other e-mail encryption functions include receiving attachments and saving secure messages.
Function of D3 encryption in practice

1. Sender sends a message normally by using an e-mail system
2. E-mail system identifies the message to be encrypted from '.s' identifier and routes it to D3
3. Message is encrypted and temporarily stored on D3 server which creates and sends a notification message to the receiver
4. Receiver opens a secure connection (SSL) to D3 by using the link on the notification message
- If SMS authentication is selected, D3 sends a PIN code as SMS message while receiver opens the link
5. If the receiver replies to the message D3 sends it to sender's inbox
