E-mail confidentiality even more current for businesses
E-mail confidentiality has become a topic in many companies when business processes and related information security threads are being examined.
Based on the examination of these concerns also The Unemployment Insurance Fund and The Education Fund decided to solve the threats of e-mail messaging and its confidentiality with Deltagon D3 solution.
In The Unemployment Insurance Fund the need for confidential e-mail was found in communication with companies and government departments. The Unemployment Insurance Fund's chief information officer Kari Saari was introduced to D3 solution by partners who already used the solution. Saari noticed the solution to be easy to use and felt it was easiest to implement to his organization from the options in markets. Saari finds it important that use of the solution requires no training and that counterparty doesn't need to install software to workstation for this.
The Education Fund had a need for quick and trustworthy communication with its customers. Most of the customers are private persons who have very versatile ways of using e-mail and training them to use a complicated encryption is practically impossible. For this reason The Education Fund had a requirement to find a solution that is easy for the customers to use thus making it possible for broad utilization. Until now The Education Fund has resorted to using traditional postal service when delivering confidential information. Problem is that mail moves slowly. With e-mail protection confidential messaging is fast and information can easily be transmitted straight to information system.
Chief information officer Pirkko Levänen from The Education Fund chose D3 solution because it is explicit, easy and convinced with its safety. The purpose was to get a system for The Education Fund that works and where it doesn't take time to open the messages. Solutions advantage is its transparency to own users.
